I’m disturbed to learn that three people were injured in an attack at the Centre Culturel Musulman in Châteauguay. While we wait for more information, my thoughts are with these individuals and the entire congregation who must be very shaken right now.

Really? Because last time you were in government you: 1. Cut funding for CBSA 2. Fired CBSA Officers 3. Removed X-Ray scanners from rail yards in the GTA. We’ve taken action and in the last six months alone auto theft is down 17%. How’s that for “stop the crime”

The energy coming from young leaders in Montreal at the One Young World summit is incredible! It was an honour to receive the young politician of the year award, it’s a testament to the power of youth voices and the importance of ensuring they are always included!

Had the honour of sitting down with Malala Yousafzai this afternoon. She’s here at the United Nations, leading the charge for governments to go further, faster — and to make sure every woman and girl is free to pursue the education, career, and life she wants.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their places of gathering. By making unprecedented investments and making the Canada Community Security Program (CCSP) more flexible, we will continue to ensure that communities have the support and tools they need.

Notre plan d'action contre la haine vise à assurer la sécurité des Canadiens et à défendre notre identité - un pays où la diversité est notre force et où les Canadiens peuvent être eux-mêmes sans crainte.

Kamal Khera (@kamalkheralib) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Our Action Plan on Combatting hate is about keeping Canadians safe and standing up for who we are – a country where diversity is our strength and where Canadians can be themselves without fear.

Deeply saddened by the killing of Hussein & Daad Tabaja in airstrikes. My thoughts are with their family & the Lebanese community. Hundreds have been killed & thousands are displaced. Civilians must be protected. We need de-escalation between #Israel and #Hezbollah.

Justin Trudeau (@justintrudeau) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Canada is calling for an immediate ceasefire along the Lebanon-Israel border. It has been devastating to the civilians in harm’s way, including the two innocent Canadians killed. We will support all diplomatic efforts towards de-escalation and a peaceful resolution.
