Thank you Naufal Urfi for teaching me how to id spiders based on their genitals, such a great time :D🕷
Naufal Urfi I love animals which mimic others! One of the best examples of how smart nature can be.😁
I think I photographed an ant mimicking spider (I think) a few days ago, would be great if you can confirm the species, thanks.
Naufal Urfi That reminds me of taking pics through microscope with phone for animal cells development practicum 2 semester ago

Thank Naufal Urfi for the ID. Always the savior!
Samarth Jain Naufal Urfi Myrmaplata plataleoides/Kerengga ant-like jumper, a jumping spider mimics the Kerengga/weaver ant (Oecophylla smaragdina) in morphology and behaviour. By mimicking ants they stay close to them, gaining protection from predators since weaver ant taste bad and have a painful bite.
John Horstman It resembles this Red Tent Spider (Cyrtophora unicolor) I saw in Singapore, so I think it is from the same genus. It was also sitting on its egg sac.

Naufal Urfi So this ungrammatical babbling tweet of mine is proven grammatically accurate by accident then. 🤣
