"We work in the best conditions. We've saved many children due to the new space & equipment we've been given" 🙌 In 2019 we installed Burkina Faso's 1st paediatric Operating Room at CHU Pediatrique 🇧🇫 We're proud to give surgeons like Dr. Francis the tools needed to save lives.

Non accidental trauma (NAT) for children call it ,intentional trauma or child abuse is very common in our settings and it’s reported to account for 3 % of major injuries amongst children.

Once NAT is suspected it must be reported to relevant authorities more so by health care providers who attend to the abused children

Suspect NAT in case of : Un explained delay in seeking care , vague story about the event, care taker blames siblings or playmates for the injury and are protective of other adults rather than protecting the child
