And if that’s the argument, why aren’t all the other producers being charged?

Jeorge Mercedes Kaj-Erik Eriksen®️ According to the DA's statement he is being charged because he was the one holding the gun when it discharged, not because he was a producer. If that were the case the entire slate of producers would be facing charges.
