Last week, we partnered with Big Creek Fire & Rescue and Kimper Volunteer Fire & Rescue to help prepare children in the Pike County area for disasters! With the help of our partners, our EKY Chapter volunteers taught more than 230 students about home fire, flood & tornado safety.

Hundreds of Red Cross volunteers from across the country are supporting people in western Alaska whose communities were devastated by Typhoon Halong. Volunteers are helping provide a safe place to stay, food, emergency relief supplies, & support. Visit Red Cross of Alaska for updates.

We had a great time last week teaching preparedness skills at Newburg Middle School! Thanks to GE Appliances, a Haier company & JCPS for their involvement & translation support, & to kynect, Fern Creek High School & Okolona Fire Protection District for helping teach Newburg, Rangeland & Slaughter Elementary students & families.
