The Key West Fire Department and the Police Department with the aid of Monroe CouTwo adults and a 7-year old child died. Three children were transported to the Kendall Regional Hospital. Red Cross and the Key West Housing Authority ensured the displaced families have housing.

Key West Police and Rescue responded to an attempted suicide on Wednesday on the Edward B. Knight White Street Pier. The 47-year old subject had used a knife to cut their throat. The subject was treated on scene for lacerations to the throat and transported to the hospital

Final pavement striping on Eaton St is expected to begin Monday, April 21. Drivers should anticipate partial lane closures and detours two blocks at a time and are asked not to park in posted area. All businesses will remain open and work will be completed on Wednesday, April 23.
