Viewing someone who is suffering as morally bad reduces compassion and desire to help. Perhaps why so few public health resources are devoted to helping those with disorders of aggression (psychopathy, ASPD, CD), who DO need treatment. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37150155/ Hongbo Yu

The internet is full of misinformation about psychopathy. No, you can't tell if someone is psychopathic by the length of their fingers or whether they like chocolate. And psychopathy is *not* the same thing as ASPD. Want a real psychopathy test? Go to: psychopathyis.org/screening/

David Prescott's "We're Losing Ground Again" is a compelling read about challenges to preventing sexual abuse and the politics that often hinders the conversation from even beginning. Consider this an invitation to the conversation from the ATSA Blog. ow.ly/mTKy50Qxkkm

This story is tragic and tragically common. All reputable neuroscientists agree that no psychological disorder can be diagnosed from a brain scan currently--not #ADHD, not #ASD, not anything, regardless of what the unscrupulous Amen Clinics and others tell desperate parents.
