I see the mess we are in here in UK with a Govt that has lost its original aim of protecting us all (including from the worst of #ClimateChange), and then look at the USA and see the path we could take. At the May Council elections, be sure to vote. Don't give up on democracy.

PIP is NOT an unemployment benefit. It does NOT “incentivise” people not to work. In fact, PIP allows many people to find or stay in work.

Your regular reminder: claiming PIP doesn’t put disabled people at an advantage. Disability costs on average £975 extra per month. Repeated evidence from think tanks shows PIP fails to cover these costs. Disability is expensive.

I’ve been waking through Queen’s Wood in Highgate this afternoon and suddenly had a flood of memories coming back from shortly after I began my quest to walk the full length of every river inside the M25 all in an effort to expose the poisoning of our rivers. I’d no idea of the

This was a long time coming! I've been asking the Government probing questions about the supposed independence of #LordWalney's advice since October. He advised government to treat climate protesters as extremists, while having clear financial links to oil and gas companies 🤔

Sir Paul Nurse confirms that the Crick Institute alone could have expanded testing quickly, sufficient to suppress our two hotspots (N. London + W Midlands) in Feb 2020. His letters to govt were unanswered. Community testing was STOPPED on March 12 to allow ‘herd immunity’ from

The moment the israeli ‘Shayetet 13’ guerrilla unit hijacks the Madleen, & kidnaps the int’l crew in a heinous act of terrorism #FreedomFlotilla

This kind of editorial framing is the lowest of the low. It is fundamentally misleading ("selfie yacht"), takes the position of the Israeli government as fact, and has virtually 0 informational content. Embarrassing from LBC.

Nadia Whittome MP (@nadiawhittomemp) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Solidarity with the Madleen's brave crew. Israel has seized the vessel in a clear breach of international law. Our government must do everything it can to urge Israel to release the Madleen and its crew, stop using aid as a weapon and end its genocide of the Palestinian people.

Every Single Labour MP voting for the #WelfareReformBill is ending their career as an MP today. They just don't know it yet. 16 million disabled people and their loved ones will vote them out. #DisabilityRebellion #TakingThePIP

Disabled people should NOT have to go without: - Food - A warm home - Dignified healthcare - The equipment they need to survive MPs must vote NO to disability cuts.

Francesca Martinez (@chessmartinez) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Share & tell your MP to vote NO tonight at: takingthepip.co.uk -Disabled people ALREADY make up the majority of food-bank users -Govt figures show 150,000 more will be pushed into poverty -Many will lose the ability to work -The PIP fraud rate is ZERO #WelfareReformBill

I honestly don't think many of these MPs have the most basic grasp of the welfare system. Time and again they refer to PIP as if it is an "out of work" benefit. The #WelfareReformBill is being voted on by people who have no understanding of what it means. It's terrifying.
