Hi Keir Starmer. I was treated with Puberty Blockers 24 years ago by the NHS under a Labour government. I am physically and legally a woman. I have been using NHS single-sex services and accommodation all my life without issue. Why are you throwing me under the bus now?

I'm a trans NHS Worker and this government wants to make it so my employer will hive me off in a side room like I'm infectious if I need hospital care.
NHS England this is no way to treat any trans person let alone those of us who break our backs for you and patients.

If you want to see the ableism that this government has unleashed with its cruel policies and trivialising of mental illness, just read the replies to this post.

Acceptance has come a long way, but we have much further to go. Don’t let the Tories turn back the clock.

Let’s be honest.
The govt’s proposals on putting trans people in side rooms, or forced on wards where they do not want to be, is not about ‘privacy, dignity and safety’, just as the ‘Jim Crow’ laws in America were never about water coolers, restaurants, or who sits where on a bus

still nothing from LGBT+ Labour.

their silence is complicity. keir starmer's labour is gonna roll back lgbt+ rights in this country by 30+ years.

to be clear; I don't think this will ever happen. it's one of those unworkable cruelties they regularly threaten to appease bigots.

But it sucks the leader of the opposition is doing it and I think the only way labour will learn is if we show them zero tolerance for bigotry.

I really hope you are okay—I was there with another person from the Staff Pride Network. Please do reach out if you want to, or need support, or just want to talk about be the event. I will be lodging a complaint about EAFAF’s failure to uphold the Dignity & Respect policy.

Disappointing to read this on

We should be strengthening workers' rights & conditions, not watering them down. Workers are the economy. Workers produce our food & deliver services. Workers teach & care for us.

As someone who receives PIP and has a job as a journalist, I would very much like to know why the Labour Party is going round the media perpetuating the myth PIP is an out of work benefit. Does Reeves know it’s not? Or does she not actually care?

Top tip...

Even if you think you are on the right side of the debate, it's not OK to tweet things like 'better hope you don't get raped'.

That came up on my phone notifications. It wasn't aimed at me, but I was tagged, and that's not OK.

Don't use rape as a threat in any way.

Gender critical ‘feminists’ have reached a new low in their language and behaviour on here today. That this relates to an event at a UK University makes me especially angry though because it is HE related, action can be taken - academic standards have been breached UCU

This is how “Gender-Critical” transphobes treat a trans person who disagrees with them.

They are not “feminists”, “progressives” or “critical of gender” in any way.

They are abusive, bigoted haters.

I love you Stephen but this is naive in the extreme lol.

I know many trans people who work(ed) for Labour. I know many more who have tried to get them to champion our human rights.

Labour knows who and where we are. They just don't give a single shit - we need to accept that.
