Mrs. Medina is teaching her 1st graders to be powerful problem solvers when joining or separating with an unknown. Ss used their part-part-whole mats to represent the story before representing it with an equation. 🧠💥 Basswood Elementary KISDMathSquad #BasswoodBrag #MathKISD

These Kindergartners reviewed #11 and learned more about #12 today. Ss represented & counted using one-to-one correspondence. Ms. Ramirez also tied in the concept of more & less, having Ss compare groups of cubes. Way 👏 to 👏 go! Basswood Elementary #BasswoodBrag KISDMathSquad
