In my view, everyone who is assessed as unable to work due to long-term disability, should be eligible for PIP (at least daily living component). However you cannot combine the two assessments, because ability to work isn't really representative of wider support needs.

Depression and anxiety can be serious mental illnesses. They are not “just mild”. Far too many people dismiss them because they don’t understand mental illnesses, or just don’t care. Oh, and Autism and ADHD are not mental illnesses… however they are risk factors.

Disabled people are expected to be endlessly available, endlessly grateful, endlessly accommodating, and our boundaries are treated as optional. Saying no is framed as being “difficult.” Asking for space is seen as ungrateful. Setting limits is treated like a personal insult.

Just because you would slack off and take the piss if working from Home, doesn’t mean that everyone else does or will. Really, you are just outing yourself as shit at your job. And no, not every job can be WFH, but that’s not a reason to prevent it for everyone
