Personally I like the padded wrist strap on Wilson gloves vs the fluffy Rawlings one.

Baseball gloves should be placed face down and open when not in use, always. On the field, on the bench, at home, etc. Keeps a good form on the glove. Take care of your glove and it'll take care of you.

I do A LOT of softball gloves. The glove manufacturers seem to always add extra (and IMO worthless) padding to the palm of softball gloves. I do not know why they do this.
