Satellite data answers a lot of day to day questions we have about the atmopshere. But sometimes it creates new ones. Like today when Dirk and I said "What was THAT?!" We did a fun few minutes of detective work and figured it out.

Highs stay in the 80s for Sacramento and other delta spots on Tuesday! But that's like the "coolest" we'll be for a while. Dirk & I have the forecast all evening on KCRA.

By this time last year, Sacramento had already seen 11 days at 100°+ including a 110° on 7/6! This week won't get *that* hot but there's at least a few days that will be near 100° up and down the Valley.

Y’all, when it rains a lot, it floods. It’s always been that way. Flooding has existed as long as rain has. It can destroy homes, wreck communities, and take lives. That’s why we’ve built warning systems. That’s why I do what I do. But lately, there’s a rise in conspiracy

Meteorologists define a heat wave as 3 or more consecutive days with a high of 100°+ in the West. (90° for the East) Does our forecast *technically* call for a heat wave? Assuming these numbers verify perfectly, *technically* no. Will it feel like a heat wave? Yup kcranews
