KCMO reaffirmed its willingness to outsource its regulatory authority by maintaining the effective date of the IECC on July 1. This video explains how the 2021 IECC adoption process was manipulated by national special interest groups. kchba.org/kcmo-reaffirms…

Once again, Kansas City, Mo., did not make the top five of permitting cities in April or May. In fact, permitting in KCMO has hit a low not seen in the last 5 years. Yikes. #homeownershipforall #kchba #kansascity

The ordinance in front of KCMO City Council balances cost with energy efficiency. As energy costs increase, the net cost to the homeowner will flip to their favor. It’s a win-win. Why wouldn’t someone vote for this? #HomeOwnershipForAll #kchba #kansascity

Since January 2023, 98 builders have pulled permits in KCMO. Of those builders, only 12 have pulled permits under the new code. This equates to an 88% decrease in builder activity. But don’t worry, I’m sure it will get better if KCMO maintains the status quo...said no one ever.
