Serious question. I am not an expert. In international law, why is the Al Qaeda killing of innocents in NY and DC on September 11, 2001 considered an act of terrorism, but Putin's slaughter of innocents in Bucha, Kramatorsk, Chernihiv, or Mariupol is not terrorism?

President Ursula von der Leyen visited Bucha today. “It is horrible. There are almost no words that can explain what I saw.” “There were still the bodies. Atrocious. Unbelievable. Shocking. This is the brutal face of Putin’s war… He has to fail. He has to fail and Ukraine has to win.”

The Slovak Prime Minister, Eduard Heger, is meeting with President Zelensky in Kyiv right now. Slovakia announced earlier today that they have donated their entire S-300 air defense missile system to Ukraine. This is what Central Eastern European solidarity looks like. 🇸🇰🇺🇦

We can never match the sacrifice of the Ukrainian people.   But we are mobilizing our economic power to make Putin pay. We have imposed heavy sanctions against Russia & are already preparing the 6th wave. Russia will descend, while Ukraine is marching towards a European future.

The EU has allocated 1 billion euro to support the Ukrainian armed forces with weapons. And more will come. We will now propose another €500 million to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces.  Ukrainian people are holding up the torch of freedom for all of us.
