Back in the day, when a person had to scratch together all the money they had to make a movie, they made SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT, or CLERKS, or WHO’S THAT KNOCKING AT MY DOOR, or SLACKER. They didn’t make a Spider-Man, Superman, Redhood superhero fan film. Go make La Haine nerds.

Yay new cameras are coming out! BUT that doesn’t mean you have to buy them. They are tools & depreciating assets. Remember, you can & should be renting instead on a per project basis. Cheaper in the long run & you’ll be able to pick & choose the right camera for your film.

Speaking as an owner/op, continually buying the latest and greatest piece of camera tech will not always get you into the next level of your career. You will eventually hit that glass ceiling and realize renting from camera houses provides a superior level of professionalism.

Things that can kill an indie film: 1. Big egos 2. Rushing the script 3. Dragging out development 4. Overspending on equipment 5. Neglecting actors for camera 6. Making sound an afterthought 7. Not taking feedback from the team 8. Not caring about the small details

Hey AMC Theatres your app truly is horrible for searching for movies playing at your own theaters. And it’s not just this movie. It’s literally multiple and happens so often I don’t even bother using your app anymore to search. You should fix that.
