The entire gallery has been cleared in our state house after the Republican Party just passed a bill to arm teachers and the People dissented. This is an awful day for Tennessee, our kids, our teachers, and communities. Instead of protecting kids, thy’ve protected guns AGAIN!

On the House floor. We’re debating a $52.8B immoral TN House Republicans budget. I asked how much to lift people out of poverty & the best answer I received was that we are giving seniors $20 more a month. Seniors deserve more. Our communities deserve more. Budgets are moral documents!

Linda has been fighting for gun sense legislation for years, they want moms and the press out of the gallery while they pass a bill to arm teachers with no liability on the school or school system-no notice to parents of who at school is armed. Liability lies solely w/teacher.
