Inspiring tour The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre for #medphys Carleton Grad Studies students - much #innovation by physicists! Thanks @MillerMacP for great stories + the opportunity for learning outside the classroom

After a while, we've finally created a twitter account for our research group: Boyd NLO Research Group. Follow to keep track of our work and events! (Please RT to help get the word out!)

The Boyd group will have quite the showing this year at #OSAPhotonics20 Advanced Photonics Congress next week, with 11 total talks including a tutorial by Bob himself! If you want to see these talks, registration is completely free: osa.org/en-us/meetings…

By using zero-index silicon waveguides exhibiting phase-free propagation in the infrared range, we experimentally demonstrate multi-directional phase matching by using four-wave mixing as a proof of concept. #POM21ja #POM21meta Photonics Online Meetup

My last #photonics Boyd NLO Research Group paper as lead is finally out, and it's an Editor's Suggestion at Physical Review Letters! We use zero-index waveguides to study NLO phase-matching. I started this project in Mar '14 & you finally get to see it thanks to Justin Gagnon! journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/1…
