JPD is aware of the traffic issue on Douglas Highway. We have reports traffic has been at a standstill for long periods of time. We recommend avoiding traveling on Douglas Hwy, if at all possible, for the next several hours.

The Juneau Police Department is currently looking for a missing 7 year old girl in the area of Cedar Park, Douglas. The missing girl is Sequoia Jackson. She was last seen wearing sunglasses, a pink and white top, blue jeans and a brown/pink/blue backpack. Her photo is attached.

7 year old Sequoia Jackson has been located and is safe.

JPD advises there is a traffic accident between Fred Meyer and McNugget Intersection. All inbound traffic is diverted from Egan at McNugget. Outbound traffic is reduced to one lane only beginning at Fred Meyer. We expect a significant delays in traffic.

UPDATE: traffic will be diverted from Egan Drive to Yandukin Drive at the Fred Meyer intersection. Inbound traffic on Egan Drive at the McNugget Intersection remains closed.

UPDATE: JPD is opening traffic in both lanes on Egan Drive, outbound, at Fred Meyer. Please drive carefully and watch for first responders in the area.

JPD is aware of the deceased bald eagle on Egan Drive. Raptor Center volunteers are responding.

Outbound traffic is blocked at the McNugget intersection (by McDonald's) due to a motor vehicle crash. Traffic is advised to avoid the area, or use Yandukin instead of Egan.

Crews are starting to open Egan inbound now. Two cars have been removed, and DOT is on site clearing up debris. The road should be open shortly.

Both lanes of traffic Glacier Highway near the Ferry Terminal are blocked due by a very large fallen tree. DOT has been advised and is responding.

Police and EMS personnel are working a significant accident at Glacier Hwy//Shell Simmons Dr. The entire area is closed. Please use alternate routes.

The entire intersection Loop at Egan is closed due to a motor vehicle collision.
