Today marks 4yrs since our Isaac was taken from us in the #beirutblast. Even if I had all the words in the world, they would never be enough to convey how much I miss him, or how cruel it is that a photo taken in a moment of joy now adorns his headstone. There is no justice.

On the 4th anniversary of the #beirutblast I saw a number of posts from UN entities &gov'ts saying they stand with the victims, desparing at the lack of justice &calling for an investigation. Quite frankly, these posts are starting to feel insulting /1 unscol.unmissions.org/anniversary-4-…

My parents are still looking for a place to rent! Most numbers circulating on social media aren't leading anywhere or charging 1.2k$+ so if you know of any legitimate leads somewhere safe please let me know!

BREAKING - Lebanon death toll rises to 492!!! from Israeli strikes today 1,645 wounded 35 kids and 58 women — Lebanese health ministry That is nearing half the toll of 34-day 2006 war in a single day.

Why does the foreign office tell British people to leave Lebanon and not British people to leave Israel? Is there an asymmetric war going on, or something? Is Israel able to defend itself and Lebanon not? I don’t get it. Is Israel firing indiscriminately? How very odd.

You know what’s truly dystopian? My Egyptian colleague had to send a long email to our Head of Region to explain why it’s a communications faux-pas not to send an organization-wide message acknowledging & supporting Lebanese colleagues & stakeholders, especially since Lebanon is

Imagine how the world would react if Hezbollah launched a "precision strike" instantly destroyed 6 apartment complexes (filled with civilians on a Friday evening) in Tel Aviv That fact you can only imagine it in Gaza or Lebanon is because it only happens to us. We are expendable

BREAKING - Some 1 million Lebanese have been displaced by Israeli attacks, 100s of thousands since yesterday — head of Lebanese government crisis cell Nasser Yassin to Reuters

Timour Azhari (@timourazhari) 's Twitter Profile Photo

More than 1,000 people killed and more than 6,000 wounded as a result of Israeli attacks in less than two weeks in Lebanon, the health ministry said. Total toll at 1,640.

I have no doubt Hezbollah were complicit in the #beirutblast. But that doesn't mean I celebrate the Israeli attacks, which also killed innocent people. I want justice, not vengeance. I won't allow anyone to justify the killing 100s of civilians in my name or Isaac's name.

Outrageous and ominous. First, his supposed goal was to push Hezbollah away from border so Israelis could return home. Now goal is for the Lebanese to "free themselves from Hezbollah" or face "abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza.”

I’m going to go out on a limb here and post a rare personal, and very vulnerable, post. I went out to dinner on my own after a late meeting, thinking it would be a break from the pain and heartache so many of us are feeling. I ended up bursting into tears uncontrollably 1/

I filmed this in Jan 2020 in #Nabatieh in south #Lebanon, residents chanted against sectarianism & corruption & called for reassertion of Lebanese government’s sovereignty, meaning disarming #Hezbollah. Their city has been destroyed in Israeli strikes, where do they stand now?
