Today I ended of my tenure as a Dist Ct Judge. As a young attorney I dreamed of becoming a judge. To come home and make a difference as a Judge was deeply gratifying. As I take my oath for the NC Court of Appeals I am thankful for your vote and will work hard for all citizens!

“Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Humbled by Appalachian School of Law! To be recognized by your peers keeps you motivated to push harder! Thanks to the Alumni Assoc., Phillip Blevins, and to the ASL administration. Also great to see my fellow alumnus, friend, and great attorney Christopher Young.

Today is a somber day! I’m apart of those that have volunteered to keep America FREE! Some paid the ultimate price. While you enjoy today, it is not a happy day but a day to honor those that paid the highest price and will not be able to sit on the beach and enjoy the view. 🇺🇸
