I haven't engaged with the community in a while and feel it's time to reconnect. I'm seeking guidance on re-entering the AI field both physically and digitally to learn and contribute. My focus is on enhancing my "T" shaped skill set. 😮‍💨 🏗️

Hot take: Having a homelab and bringing your digital footprint on-prem makes you a better engineer. As I'm going through the process of cutting costs, I'm replacing more and more personal cloud service subscriptions with self-hosted open source alternatives.

Having used terraform/OpenTofu for deploying resources in my proxmox cluster and not enjoying it: Has anyone used Pulumi before and have any experiences positive or negative? Seems like a more developer friendly (and maybe more scalable?) IaC tool than HCL and YAML based IaC.

Just read Microsoft’s LongRoPE2 research paper, and I’m blown away! Extending context length efficiently without costly re-training is a game-changer for LLMs. This could redefine how we handle long-context AI applications. Excited to experiment with it! 🚀 #AI #LLMs #LongRoPE2

Just watched Chuck Keith demo browser-use for LLM-powered browser automation—super easy and powerful! This feels like the future of RPA: Playwright + LLM Agent = flexible automation. Rewriting my open-source API builder project to use this!

Is anyone out there running their self-hosted LLM inference in a container? How are you providing GPU resources to it? It’s super fun getting OLLAMA working locally and now I want to deploy agent workloads to K8s and use my OLLAMA instance for inference! 🤖

I disagree with the claim that Nvidia got lucky with AI. To some degree the hype is a strike of luck but Nvidia has cornered the parallel computing market by building CUDA and popularizing it across many domains (robotics, gaming, ML, GenAI, CV, Big Data) wccftech.com/intel-former-c…

Just checked out CrewAI—a neat Python framework that lets AI agents team up to solve tasks together. Super flexible for cloud or self-hosted setups. Anyone else played around with this yet? Curious to hear your thoughts! #CrewAI #AI #Python #Automation

In a world moving at lightspeed, don’t forget: life isn’t just about hustle or success. Those matter—but so do quiet moments, deep breaths, and time with the people you love.

Meetings aren’t free. Set a fiscal budget for them. Take the avg hourly cost per team, multiply by # of people and meeting length—now you’ve got a $ figure. Leaders: think before you book. Favor async. Communicate smarter. Don’t burn budget on low-value calls. #TimeIsMoney
