On #SwallowAware2024 day we have enjoyed hearing from Dr Jacqui Benfield on swallow strength, the use of biofeedback and behavioural rehab.
Made use of the EOL comfort trollies today, full of resources such as forget-me-not seeds, craft hearts for finger printing and hair lock bags for keepsake, knitted keep sake hearts and teddies. Thank you EOL team Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS FT and associated charities for providing these free items💙
Meals can be adapted to meet the guidelines for the modifications whilst also being appetising and fun!

Great webinar from British Thoracic Society (BTS) , great to hear Jemma Haines MBE FRCSLT advocate for SLTs vital role in diagnosis and management of cough hypersensitivity, touching upon the PSALTI study which found a 40% reduction in cough frequency as a result of non pharmacological treatment! 👏🏼
