✋CAMPAIGN PROMISE: While canvassing neighborhoods in SW Little Rock with the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus today, I encountered several Arkansans who aren't able to vote because of a former felony, even though they have successfully completed their sentences, sometimes even years ago. [1/3]

Humbled to have this discussion on #VoterSuppression & ballot access with Rev Jesse Jackson Sr. I'm honored to have his endorsement & support. As SOS, I will fight to protect the #VotingRights of all Arkansans. #arpx 📰 More via AR Democrat-Gazette: arkansasonline.com/news/2022/may/…

Thank you to the Arkansas Times for your support! The numbers don't lie & there's a reason that AR is dead last in the nation in voter registration (63%) & turnout (54%) and 1st in rejection of absentee ballots (6.4%), when the national average is 0.7%. arktimes.com/arkansas-blog/…

I will continue to call out GOP attempts to make it harder for folks to vote, including passing laws that create extra hoops for voters & closing both urban & #rural polling places. Every Arkansan deserves to vote locally & conveniently in their own town. #PriceisRightforArkansas

Catch me on the Business Is F'n Hard podcast talking about the obstacles facing #smallbiz owners (esp. rural, woman & minority businesses), and what govt. funding & resources (mentors, technical assistance, AI) are out there to help them scale & grow. [Starts around 11:00 mark.]

Excited about this next cohort of our Tayo fellows! I will be training some fellows on govt. engagement & #policy #advocacy, including how to lobby for bills on the local, state & federal levels. Also, there is no age limit on being a fellow. If interested, please apply!

Not everything is supposed to be run like a business. Schools, libraries, museums, parks, fire & police are public services that greatly contribute to quality of life. They shouldn't be assessed and closed based on their "profitability."

Our problem is that our leaders are more concerned with doing what's "legal" (which they themselves define), than doing what's RIGHT.

If people feel uncomfortable when you speak truthfully about appropriation, harm, or entitlement, then GOOD. Their discomfort is the crack in the surface. If they care more about being called out than about the harm they’re causing, then they've shown you who they really are.

When someone says, “You’re making me uncomfortable,” your response can be: “Yes. Sit with that. That’s what it feels like when the truth challenges power and entitlement.”
