Today's baraza at Namanve Industrial Park was a resounding success. Through open dialogue & collaboration, we're bolstering investor confidence. Together with Uganda Investment Authority, Anti Corruption Unit - State House Uganda & State House Investors Protection Unit, we addressed concerns and pledged ongoing support for our investors.
During today's baraza, I instructed Uganda Investment Authority to implement a directive mandating that every investor allocated land in the various Industrial Parks across Uganda commits to planting a minimum of 100 trees.
Industrial development should go side-by-side with greening.
.Rwakakamba Morrison: Within Namanve Industrial Park, close to 60% investors are Ugandan. This debunks any notion of favoritism towards foreign investors over domestic counterparts. Our stance remains steadfast: we provide equal support & encouragement to both local & foreign investors.
During today's Baraza at Namanve Industrial Park, I emphasised to investors the importance of refraining from paying for Free services within the park. I am pleased to have Brig Henry Isoke present & have handed over individuals involved in exploiting investors to Anti Corruption Unit - State House Uganda.
.Hon Anite Evelyn: Despite common assumptions, 60% of investors in Namanve Industrial Park are local investors. I applaud former traders who have transitioned into industrialists & urge fellow Ugandans to follow suit by embracing manufacturing.
