Watch for some showers and storms this afternoon! We're watching a disturbance coming out of the Gulf of Mexico that could bring a few pop up showers and storms. The best chances will lie east of I-35 and into the Brazos Valley. Gusty winds and heavy rain, but low severe threat.

WEST TEXAS RAIN: While we have seen some showers and storms in Central Texas the last couple of days, our neighbors to the west have been dealing with flooding rainfall! Some have seen 8-10 inches of rain! Thats close to half of what areas near San Angelo see in a year! #TXwx

BREAKING: We now have Tropical Storm #Francine in the Gulf of Mexico. Currently a 50mph tropical storm, expected to make landfall somewhere between Galveston and New Orleans Wednesday as a Hurricane. Central Texas impacts will just be small rain chances as of now. #TXwx
