Proof that my recent trip to #APLS2023 was for business, or pleasure? The fact that at midnight on the last night of the conference I was debating (over drinks) a single optimal methodology for dissertations, as well as the necessity for a priori power analysis.

And this would do what, precisely? About half of these shooters die in their attacks already, and a good portion of the remainder go in expecting to die. Assuring them what they want is no deterrent.

Of course, I’m for providing more funding to mental health services. I’d prefer if politicians did this because it is simply the right thing to do, and didn’t play cynical political games by tying these cries to guns and immigration.

President Covino was in attendance at yesterday's Promoting Mental Health Among Children and Youth conversation with speakers U.S Senator Ed Markey and U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. As a college of behavioral health, we applaud them for their support of youth mental health.
