I knew, but didn’t fully appreciate until reading this NYT Magazine piece by Linda Villarosa about the dangers of hair relaxers, how my parents truly protected my health and well-being! They encouraged my sister and me to love our natural hair despite anti-Black messaging everywhere.

Progress is happening! Over 2/3 of countries worldwide do not criminalize LGBTQ+ people. Congrats Namibia 🇳🇦 for joining this list. By removing punitive, discriminatory laws against the LGBTQ+ community we protect their rights and health. unaids.org/en/resources/p…

#PutPeopleFirst must mean all people everywhere. And yes that includes those who live under the crushing weight of imperialism and colonialism. All wars and genocides limit the realisation of the right to health. Freedom to all people of the world!!!!!!! #AIDS2024

⚠️ The humanitarian response in #Cameroon is chronically underfunded. Conflict, climate shocks and disease outbreaks have left millions of people in need of urgent assistance. More funding is urgently needed to prevent further suffering. More ➡️ bit.ly/4dx8k3n

Another young and promising life tragically lost to intimate partner violence. We must honour her memory by raising awareness, holding abusers accountable, and supporting those in danger. #EndDomesticViolence #JusticeForSia #SierraLeone
