The whole story of the last decade and the mess made of the UK is the story of the internal politics of the Tory Party. It is the Tory Party and not just the awful current leader that must be brought down.

Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, approved the award of £330,000 to fund pothole repairs on the driveway of a former Tory peer. (Yes, these jokes write themselves). Unless this Peer lives in the middle of the M6 or an airport runway this might not be legit.

Police and Crime Bill includes a new offence of damage to memorials and statues carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years. Maximum sentence for a Section 47 aka ABH is 5 years. So people who harm statues could end up in prison twice as long as people who harm people.

Downing St really cancelled Eid, said “the BAME community” were not taking the rules seriously enough and then had multiple illegal parties

Buried on page 199 of the Department of Health and Social Care’s annual report published yesterday is the shocking disclosure that it has incurred £8.7bn of losses - £8.7bn ! - on £12.1bn of PPE bought in 2020/21. Think about how that money could have been…

Government succeeds in overturning attempt to stop them imposing ban on “noisy” protests, 288 to 238. But noise is how citizens make their voices heard - literally. That’s the point of protest. Giving police such exhaustive & unspecified powers undermines both democracy & protest

Another Met Police scandal: a black girl was stripped and searched at school. The search, which involved the exposure of her intimate body parts, took place without an appropriate adult present and with the knowledge that she was menstruating. Case review: chscp.org.uk/wp-content/upl…

He nailed it. This “cost of living crisis” is manufactured. Killing the masses with bills, but slowly stripping away their rights. It’s time for Brits to wake up and see what’s happening around them. Instead of hating on striking workers, join them?

Sorry to repeat myself, but you *really* need to know this. Under the government's Public Order Bill, anyone who has protested in the previous 5 years can be forced to "submit to ... being fitted with, or the installation of, any necessary apparatus" to monitor your movements.
