Today I joined BBC Surrey to discuss the #PostOfficeScandal . On BBC Surrey in 2011, I called for the proper independent investigation that I thought the situation demanded. At least the PM's announcement today should now expedite exonerations and compensation for sub-postmasters.

Thanks to a campaign led by #Woking MP Jonathan Lord MP with over 8,000 people lending their voices, the Lib Dems running Woking Council have seemingly U-Turned on their decision to close the pools!

Well done to all involved!

It was great to join Father Christmas, his elves & helpers, and hundreds of local families at the West Byfleet Xmas lights switch-on. What a fantastic turnout and what a terrific evening! Many thanks to the organisers & marshals, including Cllr Josh Brown and former Cllr Gary Elson.

We’ve kept our promise to deliver 50,000 more nurses in the NHS.

I was at the @uniofsurrey today speaking to student nurses about this commitment and to thank them for choosing a career path that is so important.
