VEIL fans: Took a walk with my wife and son tonight and got this picture at Insomnia Cookies, which is the intended destination in the novel’s opening scene. I’m happy to report that there were no abductions.

To celebrate Caroline Kepnes’s birthday (Happy Birthday, Caroline!) you should all buy PROVIDENCE, which is criminally underrated and so good I mentioned it in my novel VEIL.

The protagonist of VEIL owns a bookstore called The Constant Reader Cafe, which is based on a real place called Von’s Books. I’ve loved this shop since my undergrad days at Purdue. It was a blast telling John (the owner) that his shop was featured in my book. He was delighted!
