Some recent film, up between Pentwyn and Fochriw. It's also the road famously photographed by Koudelka in the late 90's. (When I took my shot I wasn't sure and didn't have his image for reference, so I'm pleased how close I got.)

Hard to overstate the terrifying and violent force of the river of molten iron as it rushes through the blast furnace. It was really hard to think about composing photos when met with such an epic sight. Incredible!

Pumsaint, on may way back from Aberystwyth yesterday. I always stop to stretch my legs here- there's a few interesting buildings I have a look at

Fascinating trip underground yesterday at National Library of Wales as part of a workshop I was leading! Young people from Gisda were able to see where paintings and books were protected during WWII before being moved on to Manod Quarry in Blaenau Ffestiniog. So cool!

Hot Strip Mill, Abbey Works (now Port Talbot) Harold Percy Forster Long been a fan of this incredible painting, held by Amgueddfa Cymru | Museum Wales, so it was a real thrill to see the same machinery (albeit in an updated form) the other day in Port Talbot Steelworks. Epic stuff

Best frame of film from inside Port Talbot Steelworks. The scale, heat and noise of these huge spaces is like nothing else I've ever experienced. There is an element of theatre to the huge plumes of smoke and flame.

Strange Paul Nash-y tree trunks on the way to Defynnog Does anyone else drive past this field and think how strange it looks?
