My lede: Trailing badly in polls and facing defeat, President Donald Trump declared the coming election fraudulent and told white supremacists to “stand by.”

No, no, no. The headline is not "Trump greets supporters outside hospital" -- it is "Infectious president endangers lives of staff, health care workers in bizarre Sunday joyride"

If Donald J. Trump were my patient, in unstable condition + contagious illness, & he suddenly left the hospital to go for a car ride that endangers himself & others: I'd call security to restrain him then perform a psychiatric evaluation to examine his decision-making capacity.
