One of the great Bundesliga title wins, for how they did it, when they did it and who they did it with. If they win it without losing, it’ll be the greatest ever.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen can wrap up the title today - but who exactly are they?

I’ve been speaking to figures at the club including CEO Fernando Carro, at Bayer pharmaceuticals, Leverkusen ultras and others.

In the The Guardian today:

After Richarlison's comments, I spoke to the head coach of the club where his career began about how the striker's words can lead to generational change in Brazil, and how América Mineiro are doing their best to lead that change.

Bayer Leverkusen are going to be German champions. Wow. A season for the ages and the history books, especially if they stay undefeated, but more than anything it’s just a surprise that it’s them going to win it all! Huge credit to the staff and players.

Heidenheim and Frank Schmidt deserve a lot of credit for the season they’re having, given their resources. I also think it’s yet another newly promoted Bundesliga side showing up much of the mid to lower teams in the league, which suggests a worrying bit of stagnation.

All things come to an end, but it really is remarkable how vulnerable Bayern have become. A team that no one needs to be afraid of anymore. Long gone are the days when you always felt they could turn a game around.

Now he’s scored the potential winner against Bayern. Nothing small about any of his services. What a player.

With its austerity policy & decimation of social expenditure Rishi Sunak & Conservatives Sewage Party have taken UK mental well-being levels to unacceptable lows.

Leverkusen vs. Kaiserslautern is a great cup final matchup. The most in form team in Europe against one of Germany’s most famous sleeping giants. There will be a lot of red in Berlin in May.

Hummels very good tonight. He’s a big personality, which might be what keeps him out of Germany’s squad this summer, but recent squad selection shows Nagelsmann will pick form players whatever their age or club. I don’t think he’ll be in the final 23, though.

Tactical set-up here or there, I’m not sure there’s any justifying starting Dier ahead of Upamecano or Kim. Very questionable.

At this point, it’s just what Leverkusen do. Not only do they not know how to lose, but they also know how to comeback. Truly a season for the ages.

Quite the week for Robert Andrich. Declares himself the modern day water carrier Germany needs and then gets Leverkusen’s (deserved) equaliser to keep the streak going. Championship stories.

Xabi Alonso spent all of his playing career taking his time, no reason to think he'd start now. Also, I think he knows that once he makes that next move, he enters into a different dimension of coaching, aka the one that has little room for any coach development, holistic or othe
