Shoutout to everybody at Netflix who decided not to move forward with all the projects David Lynch wanted to do in his final years. I'm sure all the other stuff you greenlit instead was much better.

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

My first thought when I heard the news was, I hope Dan is okay. He’s created so much art that has impacted me, and his art was inspired by David Lynch. I’m so sad today.

I worked for an Oscar voter. Asked how they had time to watch all of their screeners, they said they didn’t. I said how do you know what to vote for, they said they voted for whatever their friends worked on. The Oscars are a sham, friends.
