Snow day virtually a lock for Tuesday in Greater Foxboro. It’s looking like a foot of snow by the time the storm begins to move out just before sunup. Putting the percentage at 95%, because, well, New England. Early release alread called for Monday. #JohnsonIndexMA

We’re sticking to our guns. NWS says: “We have a fire hose of moisture (by early Feb standards) being advected into a cold, dry air mass.” A lesser man might cut down to 90% no school, with a slight chance of a delay, but not me. #JohnsonIndexMA.

Tough call on Monday here at #JohnsonIndexMA. Based on analysis of the available rubrics, emphasizing the 700mb frontogenesis, we’re calling for a 30% chance of no in-person instruction (i.e., buildings closed, with remote learning) and a 40% chance of a delay. A difference ...

6 PM UPDATE: Slight uptick to 35% no school, 45% delay, reflecting later forecasts while taking into effect high confidence in the DPW’s ability to get the roads cleared in time. Thanks to Mesoscale Banding for sponsoring tonight’s #JohnsonIndexMA.

Sorry for the indecision, but we wound up on the high end of the scale after all. Going back to 35% no kids-in-class school, 45% delay. Brady to Gronk, good day to be from Foxboro. Tonight’s #JohnsonIndexMA is brought to you by Cyclogenesis Benchmarks.

Open to the possibility of early release today, say 20%, based on speed convergence and frontogenetic forcing, with some -EPV lifting. There won’t be a ton of snow, but it could begin falling heavily by 2 p.m., making the roads greasy. Be careful out there. #JohnsonIndexMA

With the warning from NWS, which predicts 5-8”, heaviest in the a.m., the #JohnsonIndexMA confidently places chances of a snow day for Foxboro on Friday at 85%. A delay would be pointless at this point. Will update if forecast changes. Lauren Carlton Please shovel my driveway.

We’re looking at a 25% chance of a delay on Monday, 5% snowday. You really don’t want to come back at the end of June, did you? #JohnsonIndexMA.

Looking more and morr like a snow day on Tuesday, #Foxboro. We’re upping the odds to 3 in 4, and you can take that to the casino. #JohnsonIndexMA.

Not getting too excited over this one, #Foxboro. We’re looking at 15% no-school on Tuesday (mostly wind and power failures) and 25% delay, 20% for Wednesday (snow, roads, power.) Stayed tuned for updates. Lauren Carlton

OK, #Foxboro, it’s looking like a good chance of a snow day on Tuesday, say 65% chance. There might not be a huge amount of snow, may be 6”, but the timing is key. Won’t start till early Tuesday a.m. and will last most of the day.#JohnsonIndexMA laurie carlton

Looks like we need to up our game here, #Foxboro. Based on the Asian models (happy New Year, all), seems like we’re headed to at least 7”, critically falling in school hours. Let’s say 80% odds of a day off. #JohnsonIndexMA laurie carlton weather.gov/box/winter

Enough with the weatherdopes and their obsession with bombogenesisi. I checked DraftKings and the over-under on snow totals for #Foxboro is 8”, with 100-1 odds against classes. Book it, you’re all home Tuesday, with a 50% chance of a delay on Wednesday. #JohnsonIndexMA laurie carlton
