A grey morning in Newmarket but it’s dry and I was half-expecting rain, so that’s good. And it’s not at all cold: currently 15 degrees, forecast high 22.

Amazingly we’ve missed the heavy rain they’ve had (are still having) farther south. Dry & very warm in Newmarket. 16 degrees at daybreak; currently 19; forecast high 26. Very misty but sun now starting to push through. Should be very sunny from midmorning onwards.
