CTV bails on recurring election fact-check segment with journalist Rachel Gilmoreβ€”not because of what she said, but because of complaints from dedicated right-wing haters who targeted her. In recorded conversation, CTV executive producer tells Gilmore they don’t have

This was the day millions of Canadian women understood who he really is. The derisive arrogance and mocking bully-behaviour Pierre Poilievre displayed in that Okanagan orchard was too familiar to women. β€œWe know that guy. He can never be PM” #Election2025 πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Calling a by election for a leader is something that only happens for leaders who were not MPs and just elected party leader. Never before has a leader sought a by-election after the voters rejected them & tossed them from their own seat. Pierre is way out of line to demand it.

Congratulations to ⁦Ann Telnaes⁩ who resigned from the ⁦The Washington Post⁩ when this political cartoon of tech executives groveling at the feet of ⁦Donald J. Trump⁩ was rejected by the paper. Yesterday it was announced she won a Pulitzer Prize.

HASSAN: What is habeas corpus? NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country HASSAN: That's incorrect

Ever wonder how long Stephen Harper has been working to take down Canada's democracy? A long time. And he's still at it with his IDU, Trump, Poilievre et al. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

Treasury Secretary Bessent: "I inherited a 6.7% deficit-to-GDP (from Biden admin), which was the highest deficit when we are not at war, not in a recession" FACT CHECK: In 2021, the Biden admin inherited a 14.9% deficit-to-GDP from Trump's 1st term, and we weren't in a recession.

This is not the start of Doug Ford trampling Ontario and selling it out to Trump, the mob, or whoever will pay - but it is genuinely a battering ram of unfettered unaccountability. Ontarians should be incandescent with anger.

No. Hells to the no. Some things you just can't trust to a profit-driven environment. Governments run postal services so that remote communities can be served, even at a financial loss. It's service, not a business. It's supposed to cost money, not make money.

So let me get this straight, Doug Ford insisted on spending millions on an early election to "keep Ontario strong", only to give himself a 35% raise, pass a controversial bill that bypasses First Nations land rights, and vote on a 137 day summer vacay? πŸ€” #onpoli

So now that the carbon tax was removed, have groceries and gas magically become affordable? Didn’t think so. The carbon tax hysteria was just another rage-farming stunt from Pierre Poilievre. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Pierre Poilievre

Ontario needs good transit but thanks to Metrolinx, we are falling behind. Under their watch, GO expansion fell apart β€”and no one bothered to tell the public. Did the Minister not know? Or did he just hope we wouldn’t notice? Either way, riders and taxpayers deserve answers.
