#Museum #Monday Where does the term 'swashbuckler' comes from? A swash is a swordsman, to swash is to make a sound like a sword beating on a shield, a buckler is a small shield, to ward off blows. (Taken from wordorigins.org) We have a buckler in the Merchant's House.
