Across the nation, school staffing shortages are a major issue. I represented DuluthPublicSchools regarding this on FOX & Friends this morning. video.foxnews.com/v/631063745311…
Despite the hard work of many caring educators, school districts are facing significant staffing issues. I respectfully encourage Governor Tim Walz to ask for a special session of our legislature to utilize a portion of our $9.2 budget surplus to address this vital need.
I am glad that this issue is getting much needed attention Dan Wolfe I was glad to have the opportunity to discuss staffing shortages with Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan , who was very responsive. I look forward to hearing next steps from Governor Tim Walz, who I know cares deeply about schools.
Lt. Governor Flanagan spent time with us this evening to discuss the possibility of a special session of the legislature to address critical needs. We often talk about unfinished learning, but it's time to talk about unfinished funding! Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan ALANNA ORME Governor Tim Walz
Superintendent John Magas gets soaked in the dunk tank at the ISD 709 picnic in Bayfront Park. This community event brought families together from all over Duluth to celebrate the DuluthPublicSchools with food, educational booths, and games
We loved having both of you there, representing the strength and unity of Duluth! Arik Forsman, Matt Baumgartner
The only thing more thrilling than the icy waters of the dunk tank was the overwhelming spirit of our community! I am so proud of DuluthPublicSchools and our outstanding students, families, staff and community! Thanks to Asst. Supt. Bonds for the idea and to the team for their work!
It was thrilling to come together as an entire district as we begin an exciting new school year! Thank you, Shaun Floerke Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation for a deeply engaging presentation. I am proud and humbled to serve as superintendent in such an amazing district! DuluthPublicSchools
