25% of the genetic cardiomyopathy patients I saw in clinic today are eligible or will soon be eligible for an AAV-based gene therapy trial actively enrolling in the US. Efficacy/durability questions remain, but this represents an incredible step forward!

It was genetic cardiomyopathy day in the Mayo Clinic CV HCM and Cardiac Sarcoidosis Clinics with CRSP3-, MYH7-, NKX2-5-, RBM20- and TPM1-mediated cardiomyopathies represented. With genotype-specific therapies on the horizon, the future of Genetic Cardiology looks bright!
