Miigwech Makhena - we enjoyed your hoop dancing, learning about your culture, asking questions and trying some powwow dance steps. Miigwech OCSB Indigenous Ed for this opportunity - we appreciate learning more about First Nations culture and history. St. John the Apostle School

A beautiful morning to put up our tent. C’est bien amusant de regarder des livres dans la tente! St. John the Apostle School

Cutting, measuring and pouring, lots of preparation for our rhubarb cake! St. John the Apostle School

First try with the hand bells. Waiting to play your notes, staying quiet when it’s not your note, taking turns to play different bells and to point and call the colours, being patient with each other. We will need a few more practices, and more bells too. St. John the Apostle School

☀️ before returning sacred medicine back to Mother Earth 🌎, a prayer🙏 is said to C.'s ancestors and then a stop off to the monkey bars ☀️ Ottawa Catholic School Board St. John the Apostle School OCSB Indigenous Ed

We added many turtles to our pond on world turtle day. Les papillons volent dans le ciel. We were excited to see a dragonfly outside too, before our picnic snack. St. John the Apostle School #ocsbOutdoors

We dug up our radish today to see how much they grew! The green leaves are quite long and the radish are very thin. We think we can see flower buds on 3 of the plants! St. John the Apostle School #ocsbOutdoors

Some were willing to taste the radish with a cracker (and some ate just crackers). Mme Pat brought some radish from the farmers’ market too. They are much bigger than what grew in our garden. St. John the Apostle School

We said Miigwech to Mother Earth and the plants before we tried some fresh mint tea from our garden! OCSB Indigenous Ed St. John the Apostle School
