Reunion: the Cleveland Browns and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco reached agreement today on a one-year, $4 million deal worth up to $13 million with incentives, his agency JL Sports told ESPN. Flacco now will return to Cleveland, where he won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the
12 YEARS AGO TODAY
Kobe Bryant tore his Achilles, knocked down 2 clutch FTS then walked off the floor in a win over the Warriors. Lakers trainer Gary Vitti said this was Kobe's “gutsiest moment.”
Kobe also hyperextended his knee earlier in the game & was nursing a sprained ankle
AFC North Recap:
-Browns trade away chance to select best player in draft.
-Steelers and Ravens select players that are going to be studs and staples in their defense for years to come.
Same book, different chapter.
Jacksonville has back to back picks (in the 3rd!!) and don’t draft Shedur to pair with Hunter? Absolutely insane. Their current QBs are Trevor Lawrence and Nick Mullens.
The NBA allowing defenders to slap/smack the shooters hand after the ball is released is the dumbest thing in the league. Clearly whoever decided that should be legal has never played
The officiating in the NBA is absolutely horrendous & incredibly inconsistent. Each game is called different. Each quarter is called different. Each possession is called different. Crowd/Coach/Player impacts calls. Call the first foul. Move on. Way too much human variability.
What’s the reasoning for the increased amount of high-level athletes tearing their Achilles? Seems like 10-15 years ago, it was a fluke injury. Notable athletes recently include: Kobe, Tatum, Dame, KD, Halliburton, Aaron Rogers, Deshaun Watson, Kirk Cousins. Can’t be coincidence
Most underrated part of the portal era? 3, sometimes 4 schools posting a graphic of the same player for getting drafted/signing a summer league contract.
Tommy Fleetwood comes in 2nd (what seems like) countless times before getting it done in FedEx Tour Championship, with the most talented field of year & $10 million prize. Awesome to see so many players waiting to congratulate him after finishing. Sports really are awesome.
-Fumbles out of the end-zone should go out to the 20 and not a be a safety.
-WR/TE/RB should be credited with INT if it comes from a drop/off their hands and not the QB.
-How are there not 32 capable kickers in the entire world????
