Day 11 and Cathi Maynard celebrated being out of her hospital bed for nearly 8 hours and ate a Shrimp Lo Mein dinner! Not fancy, but time together ANYWHERE for another Mother’s Day is good enough for me. Next year will be better and dinner will be at Shelby’s Trio!
An even dozen.Cathi Maynard transferred to HER chair at 9 this morning and promptly started rolling around a bit. Probably more than halfway home now and there is a lot of life left for us to live together after she heals. Essayons!
Twenty days since surgical repairs completed and my girl Cathi Maynard has shortened her 14 day rehab to a week in only 4 days of work! The end is in sight, praying no new concerns arise that will slow her down.
60 days ago my Cathi Maynard shattered her femur. Not surprisingly she is spending less time with her brace than without. Tough and strong are the first adjectives that come to mind….there are more!
My girl Cathi Maynard and I enjoyed the NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas this weekend with our friends Don Schumacher Racing Add to that spending two evenings with our 2022 driver Tony Schumacher and the delightful Summer Schumacher and know we are smiling all the way home!
Attending a Charity event for Manna Cafe Cathi Maynard on a whim says donate NHRA race tix with an opportunity to meet Tony Schumacher and spend time with Don Schumacher Racing for a 2022 race. No publicity other than a picture of the car and she raised $7500 for a great cause! Wow!
Pearl Harbor day is the 7th and Sailors of the Greatest Generation MUST be remembered and honored! Second, Cathi Maynard will turn 64 Monday. She was given 15 years to live when diagnosed with MS in 1989. At plus 17 years, I’m signing up for 15 more if the good Lord allows!
Tis the season! Evening with @LicariMichael, our APSU and community friends, and Cathi Maynard truly kicked off our Christmas celebrations. Dinner with friends tomorrow and the treat of Army-Navy on Saturday with Maynard’s in attendance. Go Army! Merry Christmas!
Army Navy with Christy, Travis Janssen and Cathi Maynard feels like a tradition. Thankful for the fun and the friendships!
Christmas night at home leads to reflection. Thirty-nine Christmas celebrations with my girl Cathi Maynard and 65 on earth. No other man on my Dad’s side saw more than 53….melancholy, blessed, and praying for another with Cat!
2021 is over, and it has been a great year! Things I know are sure in 2022 are my girl Cathi Maynard and I have another year together, our enthusiasm for life has never been greater, Shelby’s Trio will open in the spring, and Tony Schumacher Don Schumacher Racing are our new partners
It’s been a big month! Austin Peay, DSR and Community relationships moving ahead at high speed. Needless to say Cathi Maynard and I are excited for the future! More soon.
The old adage (at least mine) is tell your story before someone else goofs it up! Cathi Maynard, Tony Schumacher Don Schumacher Racing and I have some new excitement starting February 18th in Pomona! More to come….and better photos.
Accolades aside, Cathi Maynard and I are grateful to realize our desires to help others! With God’s continued blessings we hope we (and our family) can continue sharing for many years.
Wondered for years if turning 65 would make me think retirement. Have decided with Cathi Maynard by my side that there is so much left to do that allows us to help others and to experience their happiness it just isn’t time! Find a mission like A Soldiers Child Foundation and support it
Two ambulance rides sandwiching a LifeFlight that aborted due to weather, all before noon today, was quite the start to this Memorial Day weekend. I won’t bore with details, but my girl Cathi Maynard once again proves her God purpose in this/ my life is not finished!
Today marks 1 week since Cathi Maynard began what has become the battle of her life! Family, friends, and medical partners have been truly amazing and I am cautiously optimistic that week 2 marks the beginning of an even more amazing recovery. Prayers truly help; we feel them.
There are periods when I think I control my life. I can promise you that the last 11 days with Cathi Maynard have made me realize I have no control. Prayers and the Lord’s infinite blessings have seen my girl through another health crisis and she will return home again.
There are times Cathi Maynard and I look around and are amazed at the blessings in our life. I want all of our friends to have lives as fulfilled as ours has been… The Lord keeps smiling at us which means the light is ON!
My girl Cathi Maynard has a couple of bucket list items that will satisfy her earthly goals. This week @maynard_racing completed one item on the list with Tony Schumacher and the Team joining our Family! Cat again is in a life battle; the Lord will get her back to the track!
