I love this change. Treating player availability like it's a secret on the level of the nuclear codes is silly.

Will this still be abused? Almost certainly. I can see it being used to list players who are actually out as questionable for long stretches. But hopefully this will weed out some of the silliest silliness, like when a player disappears in April and we never get an update.

My first stop of the fall is Cincinnati Baseball ahead of year two under Jordan Bischel and his staff. Year one was promising and the talent exists here to take another step forward in 2025.

Fall exhibition underway between Indiana Baseball and Louisville Baseball. Cardinals up 2-0 in the 5th on two solo HRs off the bat of Fr. slugger Tague Davis, the pride of Malvern Prep. CC: Mike Rooney.

I can confirm that it was encouraging. Louisville pitching had basically one tough inning today but was otherwise very clean. The overall stuff of the staff has also taken a jump from where it was at this time last year.

It was an honor to bat leadoff on fall reports this year. First up: Cincinnati Baseball, which is looking to build on the success of year one in the Big 12.

Next stop for me this fall is Mizzou Baseball ahead of year two for Kerrick Jackson and his staff. A very young team in 2024 is now a year older.
