Brian Kelly is one of the best examples I can think that illustrates being mediocre at your job AND an unlikable asshole gets you canned. Now if he was mediocre and likable, he might still be employed. Maybe not at a place like LSU, but certainly at a lot of football programs.

This should not be surprising to anyone. If you’re not part of the “club”, it’s nearly impossible to have top 10 vs top 10 matchup. It only took 2 1/2 years of BYU being part of the club.
