Chris Bennett, MD There is really no excuse for blaming the ED for crowding/boarding. The data are quite clear. The ED is the safety net for a failing health care system. We absorb so much of the surge of unmet needs (medical, social) people forget the breadth & magnitude of what we’re facing.

Really just cant work this out-demand for social care is rising, the social care workforce has a massive deficit and its one of the reasons people cant be discharged from hospital. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-651717…
