Yesterday Alex Sarama asked me recommendations for coaches to improve their methods. I told him I didn't have a one-fits-all recipe. All I could recommend was to question everything: knowing the WHY behind everything. 🧵👇 Copy-paste is a fraud.

System Failure FC I think it was James Vaughan PhD who talked about how soccer- at its core- is a collaboration. Anywhere soccer is played, although it is a competition with winners & losers, we must agree on the nature of how we compete- meaning that in order to compete, we must first collaborate.

🙏🏻 James Vaughan PhD for joining England Futsal this evening & sharing your thoughts & work on relationism with the coaches from our High Performance Coach Mentor Programme. It sparked my mind, & understanding its socio-cultural roots was particularly fascinating & relevant to futsal
An absolutely brilliant session with my friend and colleague The University of Waikato 🎓 James Vaughan PhD this morning (NZ time).
