Looking to take advantage of Epilog Laser's color selector functionality in their dashboard software to help create a new precedent study for my student creators. Each color can be assigned specific #lasercutter settings... but 100 is A LOT of colors! :-) #MakerEd #makerspace

Evening #makered & #makerspace friends. Tinkering with Agency by Design's definition of "Looking Closely". Wondering if I've improved it as I have lots of learners ending up w/the misconception that this capacity is only for your eyes. Anyone have feedback they'd like to share?

#MakerEd and PBLs don't always need a #makerspace, but when do you have one, it's an amazingly incredible catalyst for student learning and agency opportunities! cc: Agency by Design

Hey #makerspace and #MakerEd friends that use a #lasercutter or do #lasercutting... What is you favorite solution for storing finished cut jobs? I'm looking for ideas to store the cuts pieces until students come pick them up for assembly. What works best, or could be improved?

Amazing hand made walking sticks in progress by our 5th graders. They used a bandsaw to customize a piece of wood they were given. There’s a countersink hole in the top to glue a compass. They’ll wrap the top section with leather for their hand. #makered #STEM #STEAM #woodworking

This is what can happen when #MakerEd, #PBL, and #designthinking merge. Thank you so much #MVLittles for helping create these chairs with us! Can't wait to put some finish on them and bring them back to you! #makerspace

The Bell Island Brief was unique as students were tasked with designing a research retreat Ctr on a barrier island where researchers can study at the water’s edge. They spend a weekend walking the land with the owner and mapping out the plan. We are excited to see what develops

Village Threads wanted a way to connect with the community and find an efficient way to sell inventory online. Their student team devised a multi-phase solution that would allow them to start small and grow. Thank you for trusting us with your business.

SouthWild has worked with iD previously, so when their Alaskan branch, Northwild needed someone to turn unorganized data about grizzly sightings into a beautifully organized field guide and classification system, we knew we had just the team.

Timber Technology has been innovating a photo sharing app, but they needed a way to gamify some of their processes. Their design brief team dug deep into discovery work to learn about algorithms and human nature.

"All I want you to think about is when people walk through or have access to anything you design, I want them, when they leave, to have smiles on their faces. Just remember that. It’s all I ask of you as a designer." -Walt Disney What if principals said the same to #teachers?
