The Goodyear plant in Niagara Falls was a two-headed beast. On one side, vinyl chloride, a liver and brain carcinogen, was turned into PVC resin. On the other, ortho-toluidine, a bladder carcinogen, was used in a tire antioxidant: Scores of workers died, per 'The Cancer Factory.'
